I was staying with my cousins for two days in Los Osos, California, and we went to the Atascadero Zoo… and guess what?! There were Red Pandas! I got really close to them, and it was the 7th one I’ve seen. At first he was just laying down. But then he started walking laps around his enclosure. It was funny that he kept on going into his cage like he was playing peek-a-boo. It was also funny when everybody went “awwwwww” when he went in. Once he even licked a branch!
We read that Red Pandas also live in Bhutan, which I did not know. There was a lady who donated some money (a lot of money) to the zoo for the Red Pandas to get them a better enclosure and start a breeding program.
